What is the best way to book a sitter/nanny?
The best way to book is in our portal via our website but please feel free to give us a call or email us. We do our best to respond to all inquiries within 24 hours.
Can I request the same sitter each time?
We will do our best to try and reach the sitter that you requested, otherwise, we will match you with a sitter based on your family's needs. We would love for you to get to know a few different sitters, so that your family has options. If you are looking for consistent care, then we recommend one of our nannies.
Do you do background checks?
Yes- All sitters and nannies go through a background check and we do a thorough screening to make sure the care provider is a good fit for We Care Sitters and Nannies as well as our families.
Why do I have to pay the booking fee before getting a sitter?
We Care Sitters and Nannies, does all the work in finding you a reliable and trusted sitter, we conduct interviews, check the sitters background, and make sure our sitters are CPR and First Aid Certified so that you don’t have to worry about it.
If we are not happy with our sitter/nanny, are we able to request a different one?
Yes. We will match you with a different sitter/nanny based on your family's needs. We want your family to feel comfortable with your care provider and to know that your little ones are in good hands.
When should I book my sitter?
We would like as much notice as possible. When booking 24 hours or less, there will be a last-minute, $35 fee. With last-minute bookings, coverage is not guaranteed.
Do we tip the sitter?
Tips are always welcome but aren’t mandatory. Please keep in mind that the sitters work hard to make sure the child(ren) are well taken care of.
Is there a cancellation fee?
Yes, if a job is canceled within 24 hours of notice or less, then we ask that you pay a $35 fee.
Is there a minimum number of hours per booking required?
Yes. We require a minimum of 3 hours, if you need the sitter for less time, that’s fine you will still need to pay the sitter for 3 hours.
Do you offer part-time and full-time care?
We offer consistent care options along with a variety of other care options. You would let us know what you are looking for in terms of consistent days and hours and we will pair you up with a sitter or nanny. We would love for you to get to know a few different sitters and nannies, so that your family has options. Having the same care provider each time is for families looking for a nanny for consistent days.
Is the sitter/nanny able to drive with my child(ren)?
The sitters cannot drive with child(ren). However, we do have nannies that drive. Please let the agency know that you need a nanny who can drive, at the time of booking.
How do you source and screen your sitters/nannies?
We find our sitters and nannies by using the #1 employment website and word of mouth. Each care provider we hire must pass a criminal background check. They must be 18 years of age or older, must go through an interview process, CPR Certified and pass an EC Assessment in order to join our team.
Can I meet the sitter/nanny ahead of time?
If you are looking for consistent care, we recommend meeting the sitter or nanny ahead of time as part of the interview process. We coordinate a meeting so that you and the sitter know that you are compatible. Meet the sitter or nanny via phone call or virtual at no charge.
If I have a change in plans/schedule who should I contact?
You would contact us as soon as possible. You could contact us directly or through the booking link. We are always here to help with any changes/adjustments. Please feel free to email or call us to inform us of any changes in plans. Just keep in mind that bookings made 24 hours or less, and cancellations made 24 hours or less would require a $35 fee.
